Explore Dutchess County

It is evident that Ulster County has so much to offer tourists and residents, especially during the spring and summer months. However, if you are visiting the area, why not take a little road trip and head across the river to Dutchess County. Here you will find so much history and places to explore. Take a day trip to Vanderbilt Mansion or Mills Mansion, where you can tour the home built by the some what were the areas most famous people. The grounds alone on both of these grand estates are something to marvel at with views of rolling hills and the mighty Hudson River. There are even rose gardens when in bloom, are a sight to see. Take a frisbee and a picnic lunch to enjoy the acres and acres of beautiful grounds. Don’t forget your camera as there are many amazing things to take photos of!!
