Another Grant to Improve Recreational Resources in Town of Lloyd

Scenic Hudson has landed a $200,000 grant from New York State's Office of Park, Recreation and Historic Preservation to improve recreational and educational opportunities at the Franny Reese Preserve. The 249-acre preserve is located along the ridgeline just south of the Mid-Hudson Bridge in the Town of Lloyd. The funds will be used to enhance the landscaping, highlight spectacular Hudson River vistas and create educational awareness of the natural beauty and history of the River and the area. It will be a great destination for hiking, mountain biking, cross-country skiing and picknicking. It will prove to be another excellent recreational resource to the town that already has plans to create a riverfront park and expand the Hudson Valley Rail Trail.
