April Ulster County Housing Data is Positive
Despite all of the warnings in the press of a dramatic downturn in the housing industry, the Ulster County housing market remains healthy.
Data published by the New York State Association of Realtors indicates that the number of units sold increased by 17.4% when comparing April 2006 to April 2007. There was also a 6.9% increase in number of units sold from March 2007 to April 2007.
The median price of sold homes also jumped 15% from April '06 to April '07. However, the median price from March 2007 to April 2007 decreased by 5.5%.
Overall, Ulster County seems to be bucking the trend of other Hudson Valley counties who have seen decreases in homes sold and median price.
