Ulster County Real Estate Sales Drop Significantly

Statistics reveal that the number of sold homes in Ulster County fell significantly in March of 2008 compared to March of 2007. In March of 2008, 61 homes sold in Ulster County while there were 106 homes sold in March of 2007. That represents a 42.4% decline. Undoubtedly, the market is clearly favoring buyers now as they have more leverage in a declining market.

Dorms & Apartments Planned for New Paltz

SUNY Foundation purchased a 41.8 acre property south of the SUNY New Paltz Campus on Rt. 32 and plans to develop part of it for student & faculty dorms and lease the rest to a private company to build apartments. Approximately 10 acres will be used for the development of the student & faculty dorms. The dorms will house between 175-200 individuals.
