Memorial Day Parade in Highland NY
Towns in Ulster County stand out with a great spirit of community. Highland, NY exhibits this sense of community and thus is a great place to live and to own a home. Highland celebrated Memorial Day with a great small-town parade that had excellent participation from lots of groups. Highland has a lot of great things on the horizon, including the extension of the Hudson Valley Rail Trail and the Walkway Over the Hudson initiative which seeks to renovate the Highland-Poughkeepsie Railroad Bridge and make it a pedestrian walkway over the Hudson River.
