Ulster County Home Median Price Drops

The median price for single family homes in Ulster County has dropped 17.4% in comparison with November 2007. The median price for November 2008 was $207,500. The amount of homes sold also decreased–80 homes sold in November of this year vs. 114 in November 2007.

These stats reveal that Ulster County home buyers are in an ideal position to bargain for a great deal. There is a wide variety of inventory and asking prices have dropped considerably. Listings indicate that there are more foreclosures, distressed properties and motivated sellers than there has been in quite some time.

Buyers with a strong financial profile are primed to take advantage of this buyer’s market.
